WIW - what does this need?

Could this be any more boring?! Basic components: blazer from a local boutique, classique entier trousers, blue tee from Nordstrom, black Bandolino heels. Help, suggestions and honest feedback welcome! Thanks!

PS - the only full length mirror I have with decent light is, of course, in the ugliest room in my house. Note to self - time for that remodel!

Ok I am in no way an expert but i feel like by looking at picture 2 that the blazer is not the best fit on you if you're going to wear it open. I think if you wanted to wear those pants maybe a fitted blazer would work better?

How about adding a tie knotted low? In the photo the blouse seems very close to the color of the blazer. I wonder if a bright white or something with more color would be better. What color is your bag?
The blazer also might be a bit short for the high contrast with your black pants, but that could be because of your arm being up to take the photo.
Your black trousers look like they fit beautifully and are the right length.

COLOUR! As far as I'm concerned the outfit is really fine, it simply needs something colourful to make it pop. Do you wear those little knotted scarves that Angie so loves? That would work in a lovely colour like red/bright colour that suits your complexion. Otherwise, what about a colourful T/blouse under the jacket? (There is nothing wrong with the room!)

For starters, scrunch up the sleeves! I like Suzanne's suggestion about colour. Also, how about a necklace or earrings?

Add some lovely details, like a silk scarf or a lovely blouse!
You can wear a suit with lovely colorful pumps, red or indigo. That adds also interest to the oufit!

Color is my first thought, too. A pop of orange, red, yellow or even a bright green would look good with this outift. A colorful statement necklace, scarf, belt, shoes or bag would take the whole look up another notch.

I totally second Angie. If its not for a more conservative/business context, scrunch/roll up the sleeves first thing! Then I'd add a cuff and maybe a scarf, and switch out the shoes for something with a little more pop. Something colourful, or even a grey would work. And then if you really wanna feel chic, and its nice and sunny outside, you could break out the sunnies!

Thanks everyone! I'm going to play around with some of these suggestions to pick up the interest level when I get home tonight for the next time I wear this. I'm already at the office but I did scrunch up the sleeves and added some bigger jewelry pieces before I left the house and I think that helped. Thanks for the feedback!

Colour sounds great, but I'd probably go for metallics instead. Rolled or scrunched sleeves with metal bracelets and a couple silvery necklaces.

I would like to see this outfit with a black top to make the color continuous from the bottom and up. Preferably a blouse that would add texture, like a silk blouse with a gauzy bow that creates interest. If you choose a plain black shell then I would add a thin scarf in black/ silver. Then I would add earrings, large silver hoops or pearls. A red bag would give some color. I think the outfit is very versatile and looks good on you, just needs a little something added for interest.
