Wiw-Tuesday or should I give up on this shirt?

In my head this worked well but after seeing the photos I just don't know.
I really like the colar on this white shirt but the empire waist makes it a bit puffy, not even mentioning the fact that it grins llike crazy.
What are your thoughts on this.Do you think I should try to hemm it to a regular lenght shirt or simply let it go?

Empire waists are not my favourites, Celia. but you have concealed it with a fab polka dot sweater. Overall the outfit looks really cute.

I like this as is, Celia, but I agree that a more "boyfriendy" cardigan might have the optimal proportion -- the graphic quality of the dots with the black and white make this combination work really well!

I love this monochromatic look. I could also see you go all Angie-esque with some coloured skinnies and leaving the shirt on its own or with a scarf or longish necklace.

I like this very much! The cropped cardi counters the leg-shortening tendency of a longer tunic by moving your waistline up.

So, so adorable! And you wear it well too. It really does match you.

I think you can leave the shirt's length as is, but also reproduce the outfit with another shorter white top as an alternative.

You could also add a bracelet... make it simple, like a cuff, and colourful or white. What do your think?

Belatedly chiming in to say that I love the way you styled it, and love the black and white themed outfit. I never would have guessed that it was an empire waisted shirt or that you disliked it at all.
