I think you just became the queen of plaid. These are too wonderful for words!

Masterful mixing! I adore the shorts-and-riding-jacket combo.

These are really excellent mixing outfits! Wow!

My copy of the bomber jacket arrived today. It’s a keeper, but after this, I feel compelled to do something wonderful with it. Two solid color blocks of neutral like the model is wearing would be a travesty.

Hm....maybe one of these tops?
And I think it wants the cowboy boots.

Oh wow, thanks so much for all the lovely comments ladies!! Tickled these went over so well I wasn't really expecting it; I know this type of mix isn't everyone's cuppa <3

chouette, surprisingly little reaction so I suppose these were not thought of as particularly out of the norm for me The second actually got more but it was due to the very large scarf which is a bit more dramatic in person.

Sara and Brooklyn, it's tough to find the right pair of winter shorts! I have been looking for another pair without much success. Am seriously considering just picking up some wool trousers to cut to shorts length then having the hem done up properly.

Marilyn, I hope one of those shirts works out!

Angie and Suz, I thought you both would like these

Sterling, I get compliments on these KUTs whenever I wear them too. Fan favorites, I guess.

Cindy, loved reading your thoughts on these thanks very much. "Power clashing" sounds right up my alley, heh. And this was the exact POW I pictured ^^

Fashiontern, glad to hear the jacket is a keeper! Liking the potential mixes of #2 and #3. I think one of the best things about this jacket is you could go subtler and wear solids beneath OR go pattern for higher drama and still get good impact either way. My other favorite ways to wear this jacket are actually with solids: navy fringe sweater, charcoal skinnies, tall black riding boots; cream sequin top, black pants, olive combat boots; and bright orange sweater, light skinny jeans, and brown slouchy tall boots.

I’d love to see that third outfit, with the orange, in action. I’ve always been very prosaic about putting things together by matching colors, as you can see by my choices here. I hope this jacket will push me beyond that. I think the colors work for me, but I have very little in my closet that’s really a match.

I don't have a photo of the exact outfit but it's basically the following with tall boots (in Finds) and the jacket over the top. I'll take a pic next time I wear it

These are both amazing outfits, and you look so good in both of them. I really love the way the second one goes a little bit bombshell with the nipped in waist, the lace peeking out of the V neck on the blazer, and the sharp shoulder line--while playing with the menswear vibe of the plaids. And it's surprising how great you look in both the colorful outfit and the more subtle neutrals.

Aida, what a great idea! I have an old pair of wool wide leg pants. I wonder if they could work as shorts. I will be investigating this...

Thanks Sharan! I liked that little bit of bomshell-meets-menswear going in the second outfit, too ^^

Brooklyn, if you get to it before I do please let me know how it goes!

Very different but equally wonderful outfits.
