WIW... Too masculine?

I wore this last week. I was comfortable, but feel like it has a masculine look for some reason. I love feminine clothes with a "tough" piece to cut the sweetness a little. Any ideas to fix this? Would white skinny jeans be better?

I think it has a tough look because of the masculine belt; white skinnies and the shirt tucked-out (is that a word? :P) may look quite pretty!

I agree with lyn about the belt. The pants seem to be purposely man-style - nothing wrong with that. But it's not what you're after.

I love the top, I think the print, shape, and lightweightness look darling. Skinny jeans would look sweet. Personally I'd rock it with a pencil skirt and maryjanes (or cute heeled sandals like the one in the pic you posted with the reversible skirt. Love those!).

I don't think it's in the least too masculine. However, if you want to girl it up how about some nice ballet flats?

It looks good on you, and it's not TOO masculine, but isn't as feminine as it could be.

If you wanted a touch more girly, I agree that a different belt and/or different sandals would change it up. I actually think that the androgynous (sp?) sandals are more masculine than the plain dark belt. . .

Definitely the blouse would look very good with a pencil skirt -- and that would probably look best with some unmasculine shoes too

I don't see the problem? You look beautiful and the blouse is definitely feminine. Perhaps you should swop the belt for something less harsh than black and wear a red/neutral ballet pump instead of thong sandals? Anyway - that's simply nitpicking - you look lovely!

It's not too masculine, and the blouse you paired it with makes it even more fabulous. I think your impression is due to the fact that lately fashion is full of shapely, curve-hugging skinnies.

The present pair of pants is another cut and style, which personally I think is more flattering than skinnies - but that is personal taste.

I wonder what it looks with a jacket - like a relaxed boyfriend jacket with rolled sleeves?

This looks great, it doesn't look masculine to me though the black belt does perhaps look a little harsh. *thinking out loud* though you are repeating the black with the sandals so I guess it does work after all? x

If you wanna make it more feminine though, I agree with others and would choose a different shoe (something with a heel?) and add some jewelry-- I'm thinking a long necklace either hanging over the blouse or tucked into the blouse and just peeking out at the neck.
