WIW today, second try on the Gap top

So this is my second try on styling this Gap top. I went with the more fitted Bermuda shorts from Nordstroms, and a vintage scarf in the hair. Thoughts? I played with the belt, but couldn't find a place I like it. I tried tucking in the top, but it looked funny.

I threw on this cardigan to keep warm. Chilly here today, I made it, and its not as form fitting as the pattern indicates, but I'm still really proud of it, and I love it. Having said that, any hints on styling the cardi would be nice. Its v necked, rather close through the body, hits the top of the hip, the sleeves are dolman-esque (IE thats where I screwed up somehow!)

I don't have any long chains with pendants, but I DO have a couple brooches, so I threw a couple of those on.

I missed the first try, but I like the bermudas with the top

The bermudas are somewhat fitted/sleek and that balances the looser top style. Very cute scarf in your hair and I like the multiple shades of blue to pull the shorts/top together.

Do you have a long necklace to wear with this outfit? Could be a chain or beads, or pendant, but something with a bit of a statement so it isn't visually lost? Or a bold bangle? You could easily add yellow to this mix too (swedish colors Or add a cropped white denim jacket for cooler temps. Oh,oh, I'm getting on a 'possibilities' roll here!

The slim bottoms make all the difference. I like Sara's ideas for a long necklace and I also really like the scarf in your hair.

That looks great. The shorts are a good look on you. Volume on top slim on the bottom works every time. Now add some pops of color with jewerly or handbag.

head and shoulder better. very flattering. good proportions between the looser top over the fitted shorts. good instincts not to tuck.

and i love the headband...blue blue blue punctuated by the silver sandals.

I feel pretty good actually, and I was able to play in the park with the girls. I ended up popping a cardi over the whole thing, its breezy here today, so I'll try to get a pic posted with the cardi. I'm really proud of it because i crocheted it. I'm glad you like the hair scarf. Its what i do with a scarf when I don't know what to do with a scarf. I don't have anything in the way of longer jewelry, I always thought long stuff would just emphasize my petiteness. I guess I'm hearing differently, we'll see what I can throw together from what I've got. Thank you for all the kind words.
