WIW Today And Maybe For NYE - YouLookFab Forum

Hi Girls!

Hubby said I should post today's outfit because he really liked it :).

Simple black linen blend black dress with front zipper and belt. Black suede bootie/sandals, and animal print scarf. Note the leather cuff actually belongs to Master 8 and hubby went and got it for me to wear instead of my white watch as he didn't think the white watch was "working"! Looks like YLF's influence is far reaching!!

The weather is hotting up here and it's getting so that sleeveless dresses are the most comfortable option.

We are going to a NYE BBQ tomorrow night and it's going to be VERY warm. Was thinking maybe this outfit sans scarf and cuff but with some some simple jewellery could be a good option for the evening ... WDYT??

I'm a bit excited as I haven't worn this dress before. Bought it earlier in the year but when I tried it on a few months ago. It was too tight :(. Popped it on this morning and it fits... yay!

What a great dress (and YAY that it now fits)! I think it's just perfect! I really like that animal print scarf and how it brings out the blonde and brown tones in your hair, but I understand why you might want to leave it off for the BBQ. Maybe an armful of bangles and some drop earrings? The leather cuff is great, too if Master 8 will let you borrow it again!

Lantana & Claire, I am having second thoughts about the outfit for NYE. I actually found the zip quite annoying today. I felt it caused the fabric above and below the self belt to "poke" out. Linen is not my favourite fabric to wear as it doesn't have any stretch. Hmmm I do have another option for tomorrow night but I did like how this looked. I may try to recreate the same look with a knee length straight black skirt and top??

Thanks Suz, do you know that scarf is approx 14 years old (I just sat down and did the math) and is probably the very first piece of animal print I ever bought. I remember because it was a very considered decision lol
