So I don't quite have the beachy-town dress code down yet. Today it was quite warm, in the 70s (about 23C) so I didn't want to wear longer pants. I got out the denim bermudas, while feeling misgivings that this is not what we wear to the beach. Add sunscreen, sunnies, and ball cap. Off I went with Baby.
The dress code for non-runners seemed to be short shorts and a tank thrown over a bikini top. I didn't see any women my age. Also I got the ball cap wrong--apparently we wear ball caps to work out in (indoors???) but not to the beach.
Then I saw a couple I met last week. I meet a lot of people because of Baby. She's maybe 10 years older than I am and he's maybe 20 years younger than I am. And this woman was wearing denim bermudas! With a knotted chambray shirt. She looked wonderful.
As I left I saw a young woman with a sundress on. Aha! I shall get a sundress, and maybe even throw it on over a bikini top, and be fluid, feminine, and covered!
Tell me what you wear to walk on the beach if you're not planning on getting in!
ps I can only get this pic to send from my phone but I'm sure you can imagine my bermudas and ball cap!
