Grinning from ear to ear over your pants in #1. I agree with all the above people on your wonderful "thrown together" style, you really have a gift.

And you know I love your boots.

You look like a woman comfortable in your own skin. Cosmopolitan, effortlessly. And totally cool. I love your style! Outfit 2 I'd repeat weekly. The others as often as possible. I enjoy Tel Aviv thoroughly but haven't been back in a decade. The new port sounds delightful, an enhancement to walks along the sea.

Wow. I am just flabbergasted. No seriously I just woke up and haven't finished my first cup of coffee and I am at a loss for words. I will come back to thank you all but need more coffee first. I really need to think about this idea of effortlessness - because there is plenty of effort in there somewhere, but maybe just not at the moment when my cuffs should be checked.

ETA:

Thank you all so much!

Angie, Grey Rainbow, and MaryK I am delighted you have fond feelings about Tel Aviv. In some/many ways Tel Aviv is to the rest of the country what New York City is the US. I did not, however, realize the pastries were so good. I actually think the pastry shops run by the (many) French immigrants are the best. Hmm, maybe I need to do some testing! Aubergine, care to come join me?

Ceit, as you know my one style constant is mismatched cuffs and sleeves - what can we say, it's a gift right?

Quadrophenia! Fist pumping next to Una!

K. you know I tried to figure out what is new wave about my style and actually think it might be more influenced by the French new wave. Jeanne Moreau - that's effortless!

Shannon and Joy, right back at you.

If I did not mention you by name it is only because I am overwhelmed and have three kids to wake up - I truly appreciate your wonderful comments.

Now regarding this idea of effortlessness that some of you have mentioned. I am don't see myself as effortless at all. But, thinking about it there are other realms of my life where all my effort goes into something that comes naturally and easily to other people, and on the other hand the "hard" stuff comes more easily to me. So perhaps I am differently efforted?

ETA again: Elizabeth I think you are right, but I find it interesting that we use the word effortless to describe a style that we know is actually not effortless at all. I do it to - see the Jeanne Moreau reference a few paragraphs up!

Oh my gosh! You look beyond fab!

I once spent 36 of the very best hours of my life in Tel Aviv! Give it my regards, please!!

I'm joining the others in admiring your awesome style. Yes, repeat, or come up with equally fab variations on these ideas. You look so cool in that hat and coat.

Shevia, you look great. The look is very nicely put together.Enjoy your trip.
Angie, I am with you on the Israeli pastries. They have the best ruggalech and brownies. I avoided the rest so I do not get any ofher favorites.

Just because your style looks effortless, doesn't mean it IS. It just means you've achieved something very special, because I truly believe looking like you have effortless STYLE is difficult. Just looking like you didn't make any effort is easy. Make any sense?

Wow, for all! I esp love the last 2 looks with the hat, but I knew will get a k2k from Angie for the first 2:-))

Your coat in the first photo reminds me of the oversized men's blazers we college girls were fighting over at all the thrift shops in the 1980s. With a mini skirt, there was nothing cooler.

You've definitely reinterpreted the vibe to be current. Well done!

Shevia, I am a big fan of your style. This is what is called effortless chic imo. Beautiful. Love all your outfits. Especially the first one
