Wow, thanks so much, ladies! Update: went to the ladies' room at intermission and there was a 5 year old girl wearing basically the identical outfit! ROFL

This could be one of my favorite outfits -- love the shoes with the skirt and you look great in the black turtleneck. Together, stunning! Your hair looks darling! Winner, winner, chicken dinner (oops, sorry -- that's what we say when someone nails it -- anything -- in our neck of the woods!

And I bet you wore it better than the 5 year old:) LOL. Stunning outfit. I think it is perfect for the occasion. I like how you edged it up with the black and the leather.

Did the 5YO have smashing heels too

MaryK, this is perfect.

Agree with others -- you look just so young and beautiful!

And still trying to figure out how you can wear any color, neutral or black and look so fab.

One of your best! I simply love this on you.

You look simply perfect.

Whaaaaaat?
This looks out of a fashion magazine ( the good ones).
Amazing, sophisticated, edgy, feminine and polished at the same time.

Perfection. You made it work beautifully! YLBF (you look beyond fab).

I would be so scared to try that skirt for fear of looking "twee" or like a prom wanna be at 49, but you made it look CHIC and highly desirable.

I think you should look for a short sleeved black turtleneck; you look so good in this black turtle. It makes the outfit grown up and serious.

Are you arms as nice as your legs? Then you could even do sleeveless with this and knock it out of the park.

Gah! I ADORE this outfit! You look amazing.

Wow! You're quick! I never saw the skirt and next time I'm flying East to pick up Mochi and fly in with her so I don't miss out! This looks stunning and is styled beautifully.

Omg!!! The second photo is just plonk worthy!!! Sexy indeed!!!!

OMG, you lucky creature! That skirt is amazing and looks so Valentino. Especially with the leopard pumps, the look is just. so. fashion-y. Very very cool.

Rae, you're right, Valentino!

The perfect rock romantic look! What a dreamy skirt!

MaryK, I'm a little late to this but I just had to say you look amazing. Your style and enthusiasm really are a total inspiration to all of us that are in our 50's.

Wow. Perfect skirt for ballet. And the leather jacket made it just a bit tougher. What brand is the bag? So cute.

As I PM-ed MaryK just now (I'm on vacay and would have missed the post if not for her alert), I was stunned at the perfection of this outfit. I feel like the skirt's in so much better hands now and can really shine, and not languish in my closet. Yay!

Did anyone mistake you for a retired dancer, esp. with those gorgeous gams? Love your impressive styling on this.

This outfit is soooo beautiful! It's so you!

To quote "A Chorus Line," ....."Everything was beautiful at the ballet........"

Love every bit of this. And your new hair cut is lovely, too.
