I conducted my friends' wedding ceremony today and I think it went well & I felt good about how I looked. I ended up borrowing my sister's forgiving & fuss-free (FFF?) black handkerchief-hem midi dress. I kept the accessories low key w/ my favorite simple gold circle pendant necklace & earrings, a champagne-colored shawl, Spanx black floral tights, and my comfortable black patent peeptoe pumps with a perforated pattern on the vamp & a low kitten heel.
All but the tights were several years old and nothing fancy, but it suited my preference to keep the spotlight on the bride and groom during the ceremony. I can be fashion-forward another time!
(I also had a coral-colored silk-cotton wrap that I switched to after I was done officiating because the champagne wrap was too warm. It looks like a dark stripe in the photos, but the stripes are actually sheer.)
Photos taken w/ camera phone after we got home, so excuse photo quality & my slightly rumpled clothes & faded makeup. I looked much better earlier in the day!
