And by minimalist bohemian I don’t mean that I wear the same
prairie skirt and fringed vest every day.
Perhaps subtle bohemian? Modern
bohemian?

Not quite sure how to describe the way I try to dress. I’m all about the boho/exotic touches, but at
the same time I don’t like to stand out in a crowd. In fact I try to dress to blend in to the
background most of the time. However if we’re interacting one-on-one then I want to look put together and I like to
give you something pleasant and uniquely me to look at.

So here are a few recent WIWs. These are all jean based since I’m currently dissertating, which means research and writing, so comfort is paramount.

1: Was trying for a
70s vibe with the groovy scarf – should have worn my bootcut jeans (in the next
pic) instead.

2: Blue and black
with a lapis necklace – it’s kind of alarming how much of my wardrobe is blue
and black.

3: More blue (the SS
sweater/jumper is navy, not black) – with another lapis necklace.

4: This was wonderfully
casual, flowy, and boho in my head – in person it looks a bit like I’m wearing
a bathrobe. Might try again with skinny
jeans tucked into boots?

5: And finally a very
casual day when I knew I’d be in the collections climbing ladders, crawling around
on the floor, and generally getting dirty.

So how am I doing on the pleasant but nondescript from a distance,
but with bohemian touches up close?
