Beautiful dress! Love love the pattern

Looks wonderful on you, Vivian!

Yes... this is quite wonderful ! Perfect for you !

Thank you everyone! I'm so glad you agreed this dress worked well. I felt great in it last night, although moderating through a low-level migraine is not my ideal. It was a loooong night.

AviaMariah, Banoffi, Secret Squirrel, and Lisap: I love this hotel! It's the Hotel Monaco in Denver, and it's really beautiful and has a great Italian restaurant too. The Monaco is part of the Kimptom hotel chain which always has interesting properties, and you can earn free nights quickly. Only problem is no coffee pot in the room. (SOrry I missed you again, MileHighLinda!)

JamC: The sizing is TTS. I am wearing my normal size here (same dress size I wear at JCrew, Loft, etc.

Lisap: Honestly, I don't have the patience or time to worry too much about the "best" scenario these days -- and I am lucky not to be a matchy matchy girl. For me, navy and black is good enough: haha! In this instance, I think it works fine. I carried a black tote and I took a long black cardigan to wear for the walk back to the hotel.

Vix: Yes, I was having trouble with my work travel capsule! I think I was realizing that my old standbys weren't cutting it anymore. I used to wear a lot of full length trousers but I am just not happy in them right now and I needed help finding other silhouettes. I discovered the column-under-jacket, which is a new fave, and I discovered the pleasure of work dresses for travel, which is a new discovery. So the group has been great. I'm not looking to buy any more work clothes, but I do have a DVF wrap dress and it may be worth trying that again; it's been a while.

Aida: I would like to try this dress in the warmer weather with sandals although, to be honest, I am a bit worried about how my legs. They're not looking as great as they used to. Maybe a tiny bit of self-tanner or something to enliven the tone? I don't really know; it's hard getting older....

Lisa: It's a lightweight dress but not too too delicate, if that makes sense. It is not lined and definitely feels like wearing a big shirt -- not very substantial, but I felt appropriately dressed. I wonder if I might want a little slip when I am only wearing sandals?

Hi again Viva --

Yikes, working through a migraine -- glad you at least didn't have to fight with your clothes and hope you're fast-tracked to wellness.

Glad to hear you feel you're all sorted with the workwear! It's such a pain to feel off, especially if you're interacting with people a lot. Based on what you've shown, you seem to have a great variety of things to play with for the warmer months!

Re the slip when it's time for bare legs -- I highly recommend.

All of my unlined silk dresses/tunics/shirtdresses go quite sheer in the sun, even the heavier weight ones. [I now see why my grandmother was so scandalized when I went slip-free in my 20s, ha!] I'm now a frequent slip wearer, though it's probably due more to vanity than modesty.

The slip issue has become real again, hasn't it? I have two silk Aritzia shirt dresses which when not worn with tights, I realize are like wearing a long thin shirt. Ah, no. And I know what you mean about this leg business too - and when did that happen? Now I notice every errant hair, less-than-taut area of skin, discolouration etc etc. Gah. Is there nothing left?

Viva, Thanks for the sizing information. I don't need another dress but can't get this one out of my head...not sure if I will order it or not!

You look wonderful in this! It is so perfectly YOU. Love it!!

Oh gosh, this is flat-out *gorgeous* on you, Viva! I travel to Colorado a lot and always seem to battle a migraine when there. I think the altitude contributes. My best remedy is drinking TONS of water -- before, during and after the flight (I always book an aisle seat, haha!), plus during my stay. It doesn't always work, but it can help head off worse problems.

Votre réponsevery nice shirt you're very elegant

The CM dress arrived yesterday. Thanks for finding it! It is lovely.

So sorry to hear about the migraine - I suffer from them and I know how awful they are. That hotel room does look fun, but the real issue here is your outfit - what a gorgeous dress! I often wear navy tights with black shoes/boots, so that looks good to me too.
Re legs - I have similar issues, and I was going to try a tanning cream. Loreal makes one that I thought I might try.

Very nice shirt she'll fine you
