Today was a whirlwind of pre-k graduation, overnight 7th birthday celebration, and Father's Day lunch with my in-laws. I wanted to be comfortable, so I chose my Cha Cha Vente dress, but with all those morning/family activities I didn't want to look like I was trying to be sexy. My solution: a knit jacket over the dress added coverage, and a (pattern mixed!) scarf tied like a neck tie added color and (I think) playfulness, and finally, a black peep-toe flat added sweetness and hopefully the whole combination kept me a few steps back from the brink of cougar-dom ;).
I have been finding more and more lately that I want to inject more creativity and personality into my style, and I was really pleased with how this outfit turned out in that regard. I spent most of the day without the jacket, and with the occasional breeze kicking up the ends of my scarf I honestly don't remember the last time I felt so playful and fab in an outfit. Big words, I know!
