I found an oversized BCBG Max Azria sweater on sale in this son-of-Moonbeam color that I liked with the AT tapered tweed pants (shown here) because it picks up the light flecks in the tweed and give some volume over hte more fitted (for me) pants, as well as working with some other tapered pants and jeans. Funny, when I wear it it feels ginormous, but in the photo, not so much. Methinks this is truly a feature of the fluid-to-oversized-fit shift that we’ve been seeing.

I was on Team Wear, so I actually wore on Christmas, with a scarf for more color and sparkle, because the whole thing was very comfortable and Christmas-dinner-waistline friendly. The knit is a cotton-wool blend, so I’m hoping to parlay it into the pastel-ish look for an early spring look with perhaps lighter pants and accessories.

What do you think? Do you think a scarf is too much with the already-high neckline? I don’t plan to wear one always, but was trying to get different looks. A scarf is one way to bookend but also to treat the sweater color as totally neutral and put a brighter color up top if desired.
