WIW-sleeveless shirt challenge and transition into fall

It's been ages since I've posted a WIW, and decided to use CJ's challenge for a jump start.

This is the first time wearing my new booties, thought they to give a nod to fall.

#1 Tahari white jeans, realized they look a little short so threw on the...

#2 Gap perfect trousers I haven't even worn yet this year, not sure why that is...

This is my first ever attempt at the messy half tuck, not sure if this is right, what do gals think?

Carole, you couldn't look "messy" if you played in the sandbox during a rainstorm. You look sensational here. GORGEOUS transitional look - calm, restful, strong, yet ladylike. I love it. BTW, what are your shoes?

I think this is a fantastic look. I love how the white of the trousers makes the grey in the top read "warm" to my eyes rather than cool. You nailed the half tuck in my opinion. Great job!

Thanks, Suz, for the lovely compliments. My booties are the Sam Edelmann Petty from NAS. I also bought the snakeskin but am thinking of returning. Just not sure my style comfort level is bold enough for them.

Carol, you look clean and crisp. I love how you've used the white trousers but brought then into fall with the grey and black. The snakeskin booties would also be fab with this outfit.

I think you did very well. I've never managed to get the half-tuck to look good on me.

Carole, this is gorgeous!! I'm a huge fan of white paired with light grey, and your half tuck is excellent;-)
Those booties are stunning, and as someone who has these in the animal print: I think you should reconsider returning them. As Joy points out, this outfit would also look gorgeous with the printed booties, and I really feel they are quite subtle and will prove to be super versatile. Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to the slightly bolder feel?

I love it that you picked black for your belt and bag, this makes for a very strong, simple and very fab ensemble.

JR- I was afraid to try thinking others will think I just didn't tuck my shirt in all the way but I guess that's how it's supposed to look:) It will soon be colder here so I'm making the most of warm weather while I can

Inge- Thank you so much for your nice compliments. I'm glad I was able to wear this top and these trousers at least once before the cold weather gets here. As for the booties, I'm thinking I will return the snakeskin. I wore the suede for the first time and they pinched me quite a bit (have a bad bunion) I'm thinking the suede will be more forgiving than the leather. I have a snakeskin bag on order so I'm hoping that will serve my animal print needs.

Love the look, particularly #2. The low constrast is fab, the fit of the trousers is fab, the abstract print is fab, the booties are fab.......well, you get the idea! Wear this again!
