... Ok... Not really... The waxed denim looks like leather and the tall boots look like superhero boots. Heh. Oh and... Got my hair did. Got my bangs back
I broke a Project333 rule today. Somewhere, I was hiding all my leggings and Jeggings out of sight so I can never see them. Ever. The long and lean look has served me very very well for at least 3 years. I loved it. I loved the way I felt in it and I loved the way I looked in it. But I felt pressure to evolve. Many people are leaving their leggings behind in place of boyfriend jeans and flares. I told myself that I MUST move on and must stop wearing leggings...
... But I love the way I feel in them! I love the way they look and insure as heck can make them look polished.
So out came the waxed denim. Instead if getting rid of the Cynthia a Rowley silk shirt (because it failed to work with the flares), I wore it with the jeggings, wore a long tunic length workout top underneath (because I hadn't had time to do laundry) and topped it off with the trusty LOFT moto. I wore one of my once-a-month-only shoes: a pair of Rockport Seven to 7 tall boots, which by the way did not make me feet scream after an evening of walking. Can you believe these are more comfortable than the flats and 1.5 inch "comfy" mistake purchase boots? They're not 4 or 8 hour boots but I was able to stand and even walk home in them -probably around 2 hours total.
Based on this outfit, I've decided to never give up long over lean. Why fix what ain't broke, they say!. I'm throwing away the "forced" boyfriend silhouette (sorry guys, but I just don't love boyfriends) and replacing back all my floaty tunics and jeggings. That should put my item count from 16 to about 20 (I think). Tried out some clothes today too that had that EF vibe and experimented with creative layering. I may not be into the slouchy boyfriend trend, but heck... Tunics and floaty things are what I call relaxing to me!
