WIW: "Orange" you glad it's Wednesday?

Good morning, Fabbers!

It is -38C with the wind today and I have a dinner commitment right after work so today's outfit needed to be comfortable, warm and colourful. As well, I have taken inspiration from Amy's FFBO from yesterday and worn an FFBO of my own (thanks, Amy!).

This tunic, scored at a thrift shop for $15, is one of my wardrobe workhorses. It is perfect for days when I need a little room around the waist and allows for fun layering. Skinny pants help with proportions, in my opinion, but I put it to you - the tunic is a yay or nay?

I've added photos of my attempts at pattern mixing!

Great tunic! You did a great job with layers, they look good and I bet you'll be warm. It's super cold here too, DH's car wouldn't start, ugh!

We are sitting at -32C right now so I can definitely empathize. I'm so tired of the weather dictating what I wear everyday!

You look fabulous, the pop of colour is a perfect antidote to the cold. And I really love stripes when they are on the diagonal and when they drape. You're doing both here and it looks fabulous!

Krista! Thanx for posting this! Believe it or not, I never knew what to do/how to wear a proper tunic!!!
It landed in my inspirational folder!!!:-)) YLF, love the warm oranges with stripes in greys and blacks-- totally my colour scheme:-)

What a fab tunic! Love that handkerchief-y hemline. The metallic shoe gives the outfit a great bit of shine, and the vibrant oranges are so cheerful!

The tunic is unusual yet you look on trend and that is hard to do. To look fresh and not like everyone else, but not dated or costume-y.

Firstly, saramir, I wanted to weep with joy that you thought I was TALL!! *sniff* It's like a dream come true. I will be high on that compliment for days, but alas, I am just 5'5". Petite pants are usually too short for me but this style worked in my favour and I snapped them up as a result.

To everyone who is experiencing as severe cold weather as I am - I hope everyone is safe and warm tonight. Thank you for saying my outfit inspired warmth - that's what I was going for!
