Thank you!
Ha ha Angie, I'm busted! Yes I am quite inspired by HO at the movement. I used to dress like this very consistently a few years back,so I'm having some fun revisiting it.
Beth Ann and Thistle, on a scorcher of a day say 35 to 40 I think the booties would be too hot but yesterday was around 29 so quite comfy. I work in air con so they should be fine for the office too.
Parsley, yes it's just a sleeveless vest in a summer weight knit. And there is not a lot of detail to see. The tank dress is just a very plain stretch knit and the vest over it. The hem is asymmetrical and dips down longer at the front:). Love to see your version of this.
Denise you would rock this look. This could be done with a waisted dress, but I do think the detail needs to be minimal. On a not so warm day, this could work over skinny jeans or pants too I think.
Lyn, I am pleased with the booties. They shape nice,y at the ankle and I think the trick may be keeping my hem length around knee level. Rain! I wish. I thought I could small rain coming last night but no:(.
Jayne, I have another pair of shooties in black for summer. They are like a covered sandal with a high vamp that stops before my ankle. These new ones are more of a "bootie" as the come up above my ankle. I'd been wanting something like this for ages. I wear this other pair heaps.
Isabel, thank you. Yes the heel does bookend my hair, and I hope that the amount of skin showing also creates a similar effect and softens the black a little:)
