I recently ventured into many new-to-me trends with one blouse purchase. This top covers peplums, floral and bell sleeves, with my own maximal lite by combining with the previously purchased embroidered pants.

I have shied away from peplums because "who needs extra fabric at the hip area?" but this is soft and flowy and I got a few compliments on this outfit.

I liked it enough to experiment with a NAS peplum, (posted in a different thread looking for thoughts) but don't like it as much as I like this. Different neckline, fabric and cut - the jury is still out on that one.

BTW shout out to the Clarks as super comfy! I have fussy feet and mostly wore very "functional" shoes until YFL convinced me there are more attractive options for most foot problems. I have many wardrobe areas to upgrade, but I have learned here that footwear is key.

I am not much of an accessorizer and would welcome ideas - probably not to much as the top and pants have a lot going on? I generally don't do purses, but perhaps need to build a small purse wardrobe.

Oh Karen that looks amazing! I love, love, love the blouse. Great shoes too,I have 3 pairs of Clarks, one vintage made in England ( bought at an Art Deco fair) and 2 new. They are all comfy.

For accessories, I do think that a purse would be the best option. You could try to add a very small, short necklace (like a choker), but that might be too much going on with the earrings.

Well now, this is interesting. This is instantly a 'you look lovely' blouse. I'm comparing to the other peplum. This top is inherently feminine, much more so than the other NAS ones - despite the peplum. The NAS ones are more *avant.*

I'm wondering if softening the NAS ones with a floral scarf or something would make them feel more *you.* I still like the idea of one of them as a wild card, a style exercise...

Very nice! I love the blouse on you. Pretty. Feminine. I bought and returned those Clarks for a similar style with an ankle strap that somehow just fit better. What I loved about both though is the sole. Adds height but agree: very comfortable. That color (I have red) should be a real workhorse for you.

I think this outfit is really pretty. Glad to hear you are finding more satisfying footwear. I have had really good experiences with Clarks also. If the weather cooperated it would also look pretty with a gauzy white scarf. Off to check the other thread...

What a pretty outfit! This top is more feminine and less stark than the other ones. If you don't love the other ones, maybe you should return them.

This is a lovely combo - and suits you beautifully! I agree with whoever said you could add a subtle necklace if you like, but it also looks nice as is.
FWIW, I like the two NAS tops in your other post. But your hesitancy may mean that, while they objectively look good, perhaps they just are not "you."
BTW, your wood watch is really cool!

This is a lovely outfit. I don't think you need much accessorizing at all. I would only have suggested a noticeable drop earring but you have already done that.

Really pretty top on you. I would do a necklace (but I almost always do!). I would pick something shortish to fill part of the V (eg multi strand of pearls or pendant). But that might clash with your earrings. So you might want to do one or the other. Looks fab as is, so that's just another option.

I like this a lot. Soft and flattering. I'd probably stick with earrings, or perhaps add a delicate necklace. Also glad to hear the sandals are so comfy.

Agree about having revulsions ref. the peplum, but I love this one for sure -soft and flowy makes for a great figure colors are beautiful and love the styling with white pants:-).

Thanks to everyone for the affirmation. This outfit has high happiness for me, and that is a reminder that it is worth it to persevere until most of my outfits give me the same feeling.

And now I must find a small, lightweight (back and neck issues) crossbody bag in a pale cream. Or maybe light tan to matchy-match the shoes and embroidery.
