Krishnidoux, that is a genius suggestion, to wear a slip! And wonder of wonders, I actually have a choice, since my mother sent me a whole bunch of hers and I saved some of them. Thank you; it is also smart because it will keep me warmer! Because the outerwear/bag is a definite issue! Can't really layer this one with a short jacket because it interrupts the flow of the pattern, so I think it will be my new red winter coat over top. And a hat (still to buy) and gloves (still to buy) and as for the bag, that is a whole other adventure yet to be had!

Be sure to post! I want to see with the coat!

Gorgeous dress, Suz. You need to shop this boutique often. Tailored, yet unique.

Now, how will you remix it?

What a beauty! I agree with Heather - great potential for remixing!

Suz, are these the same booties that I just bought, making us bootie tripplets?
And perhaps you'll find the right hat/bag/gloves at the Toronto meetup!

What a lovely dress! Really suits you

Michelle, these are actually different booties. Now I'm exposed. Yes, I got 2 pairs of booties this year. Yikes! The Clark ones and these ones from Josef Seibel. Mine are olive green. The Josef Seibel ones have a slightly lower heels and close tight with a velcro tongue across the front, so they don't gap. When I saw you wear the Clark ones though, so perfectly, I understood they were made for you and are much more versatile on you. But... I absolutely don't regret it as each fill a different need.

And while on the subject of the Clark ones: be careful with delicate tights or panty hose: avoid slipping your foot in carelessly, as I almost ruined my tights on the zipper. If you can, better hold the zipper corners open away from foot.

May I see the dress from the front

Angie, here are a couple more shots, not really the front but maybe you can see the other side and one shot may be a bit closer so you can see more of the detail. I'll aim to get some better pics soon! Apologies. My daughter and I are still learning and it was pouring rain outside so the light was just the best we could do.

Michelle, Krish is right; these are different booties and they are my very first ones!

Heather and Rae, I think remixing would be a real challenge (apart from changing up the jewelry and shoes/tights). It is hard to see in the photos but the overlay is subtle yet quite distinctive. Sort of a blue grey knit, in places, with some white stitching detail and black lacy knit in other places. You can't really layer over the dress or you will spoil the lines (at least that is how it strikes me). And a belt would also spoil it. But that's okay; I have my black dress to layer under and over and to belt; this one serves a very different need. It has a slightly dressy appearance yet the knit also makes it suitable for more casual occasions. As in going out for supper to a not-so-fancy restaurant.

Assuming my cat doesn't destroy the dress first, that is.
