WIW need opinion on shoes

I wore this a few weeks ago but am interested on comments about the shoes. I've posted outfits with them before and they didn't find favour but I'm fond of them and they're comfy so I have kept them.

I'll probably still wear them anyway but honest opinions welcomed! I wear them under bootlegs more often.

They look like a loafer to me and I think with a bootleg jean these would look good. I have just bought some yellow vintage ones and got the thumbs up so I see these as being similar. I like the heel and they are not too chunky. I say keep and enjoy.

Comfy shoes are important. I'd probably prefer them under bootlegs, but check Deborah's post and Angie says this style is making a comeback.

Deborah can't wait to see them on you. I was a naysayer, but I am trumped by Angie.

I think there are two things to consider Polly,

1) as mentioned above the style of shoe is back on the fashion radar.
2) the way your overall look has evolved lends a more classic style of shoe some edge.

I think they are keepers!

Considering that I just bought a pair of teal pointy toe ( flat ) loafers, I am in love with these ! I completely agree with R&J.

i like them as well. the animal print and the red are a great combo and to me and my fussy feet, comfort is key... it they feel great and you style them in a fresh way i say rock them! esp. since the higher vamps are trending back in!

I like them, including with the skinnies as you've styled them. Even though they don't have the leg-lengthening effect, they look stylish to me with this outfit, in that timeless classic way. The overall effect, with the jacket, scarf, and current jeans cut, has a very updated classic feel to me. I'd like the shoes with bootcuts too.

I like this look with the slim leg jeans Polly. (BTW good to see you again.)

Styling idea;
I have been seeing loafers with different colored sheer socks. So perhaps sheer red (if you can find them, and they have to be sheer), or sheer caramel to go with the scarf. Of course sheer black works too.

Example -- first picture in this blog post, note the lavender sheer socks.
