Firecracker, thank you. Now that I’ve worn the necklace, I think it doesn’t need black, it would work with other colors, too.

Cee, I’ll mention it this Wednesday.

Don't Fear the Reaper !!!

Well, I’m a big fan of all black, and I think it looks fantastic with your hair. And I don’t normally gravitate to light footwear but I just love those boots with this ensemble.

You look great JA. Black may not be your favourite colour, but I think it does favour you. And I like the white accents.

Fun with the white accessories-and your moon necklace makes me think of yin yang.
What works well for me (dark autumn) with black is to break it up with skin, like a scoop or v neck-the necklace kinda has the same effect. Another trick is
sheer fabrics (sleeves especially) - then it reads as dark brown! Matte black fabrics look less dark than sheeny ones in my experience too.

Cee, I was Grim Reaper at Halloween once...

Janet, Brooklyn, thank you. I thought black washed me out and made me look like a ghost. Maybe I should reconsider?

Suntiger, thank you. Your suggestions remind me of when I go to our local Philharmonic. The men wear tuxes, but the women wear black. And what they wear really varies. The concertmaster is probably the dressiest, and of course she’s front and center. The women who play stand up basses wear pants. I think the cellists wear pants, too. Anyway, some have sheer sleeves which I really like.

Way to kill the Halloween party mood, JAil' !
