WIW & might as well come out and say it... trying the steampunk boots

#1 is what I wore this morning. Engineer shorts and AS denim jacket to go out for pizza with Hubs and get things ready to see my mom for her bday tonight.

#2-4 is what was waiting for me after my nap. No, there is no absolution for me this time - I am on the run from the law, but what could I do? I found them for $80? That's almost $300 off retail! I may have to accept my fate as a wanted person and hide out in the Everglades for a while.

So SYB aside, what do you think? I am sort of in love with them. Super duper comfy, leather lined, great ankle support, rubber soles. They sort of look like they gap from the front, but it is the shin guard that needs an extra hole or two in the straps to cinch tighter. The actual boot part fits nice and snug. I'd most likely wear these with skinnies in the Fall, but it is too darn hot for that right now. Keep? Resell?

Ah, when you find an item you are in love with, no one else's opinions matter. It is only you who will be feeling empty or regretful if you sell or return them, not anyone else who gave their opinion.

That said, I quite like them! They are very cute and I really like the profile. If they feel good, then there really is no excuse for not keeping them. If you cared enough to hunt them down and to get a killer deal, you wanted them and loved them enough to keep them.

Just got in, and it's 3am, but thank you for all the political influence, lol! I've not only found sanctuary in Angie's kingdom but received a royal pardon in SYC Land. I'm glad you like 'em.

I'm not totally tossing SYB out the window, though, despite the fact that SYC and I don't get along well. I'll put these down as my July purchase and I'll return what WAS to be my July purchase without opening it (it was backordered, so maybe I can still cancel it).

Wonderful boots. I'm really cheap and think most fashion is fungible - if I don't get this one, I'll soon find that one and for just a few dollars. But even I would probably spend eighty bucks for those.

These boots make your legs look a mile long! So of course you must do what you have to to keep them! Return the other package, eat Ramen for the rest of the month, whatever! They're worth it!
