I didn't see Angie's ensemble post this morning before I got dressed, but it turned out I coincidentally had a very similar outfit in mind. I wore this navy Madewell dress with the Spanx faux metal leggings, and had a difficult time figuring out what topper would go best with it in order to dress down the look. Sadly, I don't have a holiday party to go to tonight--or at all this season, so far. So I picked this tweed blazer as a way of casualizing the dress--not entirely sure they go, but that's exactly what makes it less formal to my eye. Other blazers looked far too dressy. I did want to wear this black watch plaid blazer but I am waiting for the petite version to come to me. To match the blazer and the more casual look I went with my beaten-up cognac boots, originally I was planning to wear black ones. Unfortunately they cover up a lot of the leggings but they are a warm solution.
