Meeting today so suited up, sort of.
Gap straights, JCrew sleeveless top, old Banana Republic suit jacket, JCrew belt, New LC booties for the slush.
This is a look that feels very me: trim, masculine-inspired, with some feminine details (sparkly bracelet and leopard belt). I work in this kind of thing a lot when traveling.

I love this. The monochromatic tones are so flattering to you. And the leopard belt adds just the right touch. Also, the lines suit your lines - it's harmonious. I would trust you immediately, which can be good for business!

I know that low-stance jackets are trending right now, but I really like this jacket on you. Great outfit! You look fab.

Janet, yours is one of those comments that really makes me pause. First, I'm not even sure I know exactly what a "low stance" jacket is. But I do know that I love the traditional fitted look of this jacket, even worn open.

Still, I wonder: do I sacrifice looking modern by wearing this jacket that I still love? And also, if I do, does it matter?

I like the jacket open too. It's a classic fit and looks nice. Not dated, but certainly more modern when worn unbuttoned in #1.

A low stance jacket is one where there is one button and it's positioned low down the centre front of the blazer.

I'm totally on board with this look - love it! I'm hanging on to two high-stance jackets that I really like and was just looking at them yesterday, pondering. Low stance seems to be the preferred style now but I don't think that means that's the only style we can wear and look good – yours looks terrific and very flattering.

Thanks Janet for opening the question and Angie for clarifying -- and everyone for comments. I always wear the jacket open (closed just feels too, well, closed) and am glad I can continue wearing it and not look too dated.
