Personally, I think the pants should fit a little shorter, like the model is wearing them in the photo (exhibit #1). I love the way the cropped pants look and fit in this BR photo.

I am pedantic about pant lengths though - it's my thing. (Those who have been at YLF for years know this about me). So I am very hard to please with cropped pant lengths in-particular. Please take my opinion for what it is worth to you. It's only an opinion, and not a rule. The most important part in all of this is, is that you are happy in this outfit. Love the loafers, Carter. xo

I too love the look. One problem I have with cropped pants that are skinny and shorter is I totally hate when they ride up further when I sit down. Nothing like having to pull them down every time you get up,, and awful when getting out of cars...So I like mine at least long enough and wide enough not to do this. Also some are called ankle pants and come to the ankle bone. guess that is what I buy. although it is confusing what is called crops and what is called ankle pants-but I guess it is just where they fit on you...

Those pants have a marvelous fit and a great pattern, Carter. I can see why they make you happy. Love the way you paired them with a fluid top -- which is flattering and modern. And the loafers are amazing! You're making the most of your shoe choices!

Cropped pants are just so right for Atlanta. You really can't not wear them IMO.

LOL, Carter, you got Angie's pants length comment near the top of the list. She really has a think about it. Anyway, I love those pants with those shoes! If you agree with Angie about the length, you could always shorten them a bit.

I like them, and the outfit, and while I see Angie's point, I personally really like that length and find it comfortable.

Angie, thanks for your comments. I'm quite sure I have PPL issues with all of my non-full length pants. Hopefully I'll have time to take pictures of them this week for a posting so all of you can sort me out!

Thanks for all the comments on the shoes as well. As long as I have to switch to all flats, at least it's a good year for flats. I'm slowly adjusting to the idea.

Ah- PPL- I am about to hem some cropped cooler weather ones and was thinking that about your length here would be ideal. Personal choice I guess.

Funny, Lyn! PPL seems to be an elusive thing on pants that aren't supposed to be full length. Pants come in so many lengths now, I think it really is a matter of personal choice.
