Okay I'm off to a decent start, I actually have pics!

First us from brunch with inlaws over the weekend, our first really cold day in the south.
Grey slim corduroys AT loft
Burgundy sweater turtleneck, Loft
Black boots
Andrew Marc cape coat,4 years old
Grey chew beads for baby happiness

Second is from yesterday making grocery run, another cold day. I was in the same shirt with old jeans at home, changed into gap skinnies abd the rest for heading out.
Long sleeve striped gap shirt, really old
Gap leans
Purple wool scarf
Black suede leather boots
Red pea in a pod coat( I know I shouldn't wear maternity stuff when not pregnant but I love this coat!)

My goodness. My first thought was that you have a terrific collection of coats! And to hear you live in the south! I think, as a Canuck, I need to step up my game. I especially love that cape.

Both of these are lovely outfits, and beautifully autumnal! You are off to a great start!

Thanks Suz! I am a bit of a coat-holic I admit. I never did get to post on the coat thread about it but I do have quite a few mid weight(4) and lighter jackets/trenches(4). That's excluding my blazers! In my defense, if I need one(smile) I have a medical condition where I get weak and dizzy in the cold, so I actually do need to be covered fairly well. Here in SC it is in the 40's, cold for us but prob not too bad for you!

Oh, what tummy colours in #1 and I too love your cape. I also like the drape of the cowl neck on your sweater. I like the deep burgundy paired with the lighter blue and white top..nice combo and another fab coat!

These are great casual outfits. The coat doesn't look maternity so I think it's fine to keep wearing it. It's a really pretty color so I can see why you would want to keep it.

Thanks ladies! Sara , that coat was my one big splurge during pregnancy when I otherwise vowed not to spend much on a wardrobe that would only serve me for a short time. But I loved the color so much and everytime I put it on, even on those days when my body hurt in late pregnancy, it made me smile:-) I had hoped because it jacked a true panel infront that it could live past pregnancy so I am glad it doesn't scream " belly in here!!!"

Forgot to say also that the cape coat has become both a basic and a statement in my wardrobe. I wear it a lot because I love it and our winters tend to be fairly mild, but it is more of a statement coat itself I guess. Ah coat love...

Omg, you are a gorgeous creature! Love your outfit. Both coats are divine on you. Love the rich autumnal palette and the flat boots that fit you so well. Terrific start to the challenge!

Wow - I had the same thought as Suz - what a nice collection of coats! I LOVE the Andrew Marc cape coat. And you look terrific in reds and burgundies! I'm beginning to think my monitor's colour settings are off though, as I see the cords in pic 1 as almost dark purple or burgundy. Must do something about this - it's not the first time I've misread a colour here:) Anyways, pretty nice looks for keeping it real!

Thank you again YLF family! Both those looks are pretty representative of my fall/winter wardrobe outside of working environment, although I am going to try mixing it up more with skirts and dresses when I can. Skirts/tops will be much more feasible for me than dresses as I am still nursing.I am also thinking about getting one or two wool clamdiggers as I really like that option for milder days.
LisaP, nope your monitor is not really too of. Those cords are a really dark grey and even in person they do read almost purple unless you have them in the light.
I am a total sucker for burgundy and I was SO happy when it turned out to be one of the "it" colors for this fall! I'll suffer through being unfashionable in future when I can't find it in stores but keep wearing it because I like it so much, ha ha ha ha!!!
