It's finally warm enough to wear a skirt with tights. I've had this tulip skirt for ages but haven't worn it since last spring. In the past I have usually worn this skirt with either a fitted tucked-in top or a tailored shorter sweater. To change it up a bit, I decided to add some 2014 touches to it today. I'm doing "just enough structure" with a big drapey top. The semi-tucked waist and slightly sheer tights provide a bit of structure to ground the look. I'm also juxtaposing the casual knit moto and slouchy boots with the dressier sheen of the satin skirt and silk top. What do you think? I am not sure I like the version sans moto, but it's too cold to be wearing it that way anyway. I think it needs the lighter topper to finish the look and bookend the light boots. I'd probably wear dark boots if I did not have the moto.

Last photo is an FFBO that I wore yesterday. I think you've probably seen this exact combo before but I really like it so I took another picture.

1-2: Anthro moto, Michael Stars top, Gap skirt, Remonte Dorndorf boots.
3: Nanette Lepore jacket, handknit tunic, Vince skinnies, Naot boots
