Wiw is it too IT?

I have wanted to try this combo for ages. In the mirror it made my shoulders very prominant. I hadn't put my lipstick on yet.

I don't think so at all! The shape of the bottom of the dress balances it nicely. Very cute!

The flare of the skirt hem balances the width of the shoulders, IMO.

Your shoulders do look square, but is that a bad thing?

How does the outfit feel, overall?

Thanks K and Amy. The outfit feel comfortable and I generally feel happy in it.

I think the IT concerns may have been because I saw myself in the mirror above thbathroom and not the whole view.

I felt it the outfit as a whole was a bit plain, and tried a long necklace with it, but it didn't feel right.

it doesn't overemphasize your shoulders. i like the silhouette. tho, the whole outfit reminds me of a nurse's uniform.

The shade of gray is just lovely on you and I don't think you look too IT at all! Do the sleeves on the blouse feel OK on you? They look just a little bit too long - but, if I were you I would just scrunch up the sleeves so it wouldn't matter!

I like a strong shoulder line, and when you add a topper it is softer anyway.

I really like the shape on you. I don't think the shoulders are an issue at all and I don't mind the longer sleeves. I think it all looks intentional and modern.
My only suggestion would be maybe a pointy flat instead of a round toe

Thanks Diane and Debra. I had planned to change into different shoes at work - my cobalt sandals that I am wearing in my wearing at work. I walk about 1km as part of my commute so need sensible shoes. But I forgot to put the sandals on at all!

You look great. Sometimes it works to embrace your IT-ness and flaunt it. I was going to suggest a long pendant if you want to break up the horizontal line, but you tried that. If you don't like to scrunch sleeves, does rolling them work?

Joy when I dressed after going to the gym at lunch I did indeed roll the sleeves. They were too fitted to scrunch. And I am not really an IT. I am a pear with strong shoulders. Just looked shoulder heavy because of the
white sleeves

I agree with the others, it's lovely and well-balanced! In some outfits (coats, or tops with slightly puffy sleeves) I feel I look too IT-like when I stand really close to the mirror, but then when I back off to a few metres away, it looks more balanced.
