Hi all,
This isn't particularly special (particularly given the way some of our group feel about maxis), but the colors reminded me of the ocean - and that made me smile. It is also a different look than what I've shared in the past. Please excuse the messy topknot, these were taken at the end of a hectic day, during the middle of which I scraped my hair back.

It was sunny today, and after many days of gloom I felt I needed to seize the moment and wear a dress, although I only had a few minutes to throw myself together and I hadn't shaved my legs.
1) That's how I ended up wearing the navy maxi dress.

I had an awards assembly to go to for one son and a preschool to volunteer at for another, so I had to address the skimp factor of the top.
2) That's how I ended up with the turquoise spring-weight scarf.
3) Wanting a little more modesty (and warmth) led me to the teal shrug.

I wouldn't buy this dress today because I don't feel that it particularly flatters my body and the top requires managing such as I did today, but I haven't purged it because I love the way it feels (like jammies), and because on occasions like today it helps me look put together quickly. I was also happy with the practicality of all the layers. At different points in this moody Seattle day I had on every combination of each of the components, and the options kept me comfortable.
