WIW: Houndstooth - YouLookFab Forum

Hi Fabbers,

We are enjoying a sunny but still cool day here. We are preparing to leave for our holiday tomorrow (well not much preparation yet but must get packing if I can drag myself away from YLF) and am waiting on confirmation of an appointment today at the Aged Care Facility my MIL lives in.

So today's outfit is pretty relaxed for the bits of running around yet to happen.

Blue skinny jeans - old
Patterned shirt with houndstooth sleeves - Rivers
Knit draped vest - Blue Illusion
Boots - Rivers
Bag - Nine West

#1 has bonus inclusion of Master 10 who recently cut off his long swept fringe and now has a buzz cut for summer. He is staring straight at the TV completely oblivious to anything else going on;)

I'm hoping the bag and shirt aren't too matchy matchy. I thought it was fun and I wanted a cross body for today. I don't wear collared shirts much but this one is a small collar and I have "popped" it as it stays in place nicely.

Thanks for looking and as always suggestions for improvement welcomed.

Oh and I have no idea what to pack! Weather is so up and down its hard to find the inspiration.

I would take one thing from each category- short sleeved, 3/4 sleeved and long sleeved. Ditto with pants plus a couple of toppers
I like your recent more fitted shapes, and I think I read that you are even semi-tucking lately?
I like the shirt- with Rivers it is often a case of finding the least bright and busy pattern, therefore uncovering a hidden gem.

Lyn you are observant:). My weight tends to dictate a lot of my choices and I have dropped 3kg recently and am feeling a little more confident and wearing some things that I haven't felt good on for a little while, hence not quite so much oversized tops:).

You have such a good eye for FAB, unique pieces and yay for the boost in body confidence! TV zombie face is too cute!

Thanks for the holiday wishes. We have just enjoyed this weekend off (DH is usually working Sundays) and we also have next weekend off to, and of course the week in between.

I am taking my iPad, so I don't anticipate a holiday from the Forum

Wow, Deborah! This outfit is just stunning! It's probably the most androgynous outfit I have seen you wear, but it is just smashing. I love how the vest and the collar of the shirt work together to give the appearance of a cape. The bag is perfect. It blends in and lets the clothes be the star. Great job!
