So perfect and cute! Nice interpretation, Suz.

Suz, you put on a hoodie/blazer clinic Super!

Yes! The cream is beautiful with your blue blazer, Suz. And the hoodie is exactly the type of refined sweater I'm looking for to sport this formula myself. I love the juxtaposition of the more casual hoodie with the dressy vibe of the textured blazer (it's a fab one), and then the pattern mixing with the belt and booties.

As @Amy, I turned up my nose when reading about layering a hoodie under a blazer. I accept hoodies in men - there's an irish/bad boy vibe to men layering hoodies under leather bombers - but I find women wearing then... hm... most of the times... frumpy.

Again as @Amy, I might just be wrong. Your white and blue combination @Suz... it feels not only elegant, but also modern/edgy. I liked it a lot!

Am so desperate to wear this combination - all of you are killing me with these looks!

Ooh, nicely done! The waffle weave (that I know exactly what you're talking about ) is a great textural contrast to this jacket!
I had less success when I tried this look a few years ago with the hoodie. http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....nspiration Maybe I had not enough contrast of fabric with my cotton and linen blazers. So happy to see it is thriving in your closet!!

What a nice combo of casual and dressy! Can't wait to find the perfect hoodie to try this myself.

Thanks, all! This was way more fun to wear than I expected!

Mo, I actually like that outfit of yours (the colours are great on you and you have inspired me to try this with grey). But Angie's comments were interesting. Without thinking about it today I simply pulled the waist cord out of the hoodie and stuffed it in a drawer. It had bugged me when I had worn it before and I decided -- why live with something that doesn't need to be in there? If I ever want it back I can always thread it through the casing. So...voila -- one problem eliminated. And this jacket is a bit longer than yours so that difficulty was dealt with, too.

I did try it with a few other jackets -- including the Lanai and my AT navy jacket -- and neither of those looked good with it at all. Proportions were all wonky somehow.

Oh my goodness! You look gorgeous and very refined in this outfit. I love the blazer (drool, drool) and the way Mo's hoodie picks up the light tones in your python booties. The jeans are wonderful on you. Are these new? I had a friend give me a pair of J.Crew toothpick jeans in my regular size and I could barely button them across my hipbones. So I'm thinking they might run small. (bottom line: I'm validating your decision to size up). I have a very round about way of saying things I'm realizing. I always have to tell a story!

This looks great. I liked the looks Angie posted, but I think this is my favourite. Now I want it to be winter so I can play!

First the white jeans outfit and now the hoodie/blazer combo...you are the YLF blog post model!! So elegant, refined, yet completely comfortable and approachable. Just wow.

You are all way too kind.

I think what made this outfit really fun for me to wear (besides the super soft cashmere!) was unexpected shape of the "collar." I really love detail like that. Yet because I'm usually wearing high necklines I don't get many opportunities to play with it. The zip on the hoodie allowed me to adjust the V "just so" for personal flattery. And then the hood framed the face.

Claire, these jeans do run a bit small I think -- they also differ a lot from fabrication to fabrication. I got them in the early spring. Later, I tried some in ecru in this size and sent them immediately packing. They were giving me the dreaded leg wrinkles from hell -- you know, the kind where you can't tell if they are too loose or too tight -- and I strongly disliked how they looked. They were that soft stretchy stuff. These ones are part poly, part cotton, and have a crisp and smooth feel to them. They skim the leg rather than cling to it. Even my calves.

It's weird...I want to like the Matchsticks but they look awful on me! My goal with these was sort of a cigarette jean look -- not a true skinny. I got ankle length, which on me are just barely long enough to pass muster as regular. They work better with an open vamp shoe or a dark bootie but what the heck. Walk on the wild side...

Thank you for a lesson on juxtaposition! YLF!

The cashmere adds the posh and I love the booties with the light sweater. I am convinced!

Suz, you make a hoodie look so polished – you look fab!

I so relate to what you said "Today's outing is lunch with a friend who always dresses a lot more casually than me." ... I always think of my friend(s) style and dress and wear an outfit that she/they will relate to while still keeping to my style. I think it helps with our bonding.

Oh my! Brilliant! This can't be casual?! ... I think it looks like business in the front and party at the back

Adore this outfit!

Wow, Suz! I love this interpretation of the look!

Stunning! This look did not resonate with me while reading Angie's blog but you've blown it out of the ballpark.

Looks great! I just scrolled down to ask you if you removed the strings and I read that you did! I was thinking the string removal may polish the look a bit.

Suz this is a lovely interpretation and it does look sophisticated and elegant. Just our of interest and to mix it up, I would love to see the 'hood' not so neat (weird coming from me, a neat freak) and maybe scrunched a bit around the neck. What I like is that you have demonstrated how we can make our own little tweaks and make a look completely ours.

I have a similar look for my own, a hoodie under a denim jacket for some casuals, but this is a more sophisticated and absolutely cute outfit! It's so you!:-)

I'm a fan! I love the textures in your outfit. Great interpretation, Suz.

Wow! I love how you've interpreted this look. The booties pull it all together perfectly. Classy!

This works for you! You show this doesn't have to look sloppy--my particular fear--but chic instead.

Super fun look. I'm also enjoying the blazer and hoodie formula. I really like the high contrast here, it makes the jacquard print stand out nicely!
