Greetings from NYC, where the high temp for the weekend is 98, and the “feels like” temp is “welcome to hell.”

Work is okay as long as what I wear is a light fabric. I haven’t even needed a topper inside much because they’ve adjusted the indoor temps after complaints last year. The weekend is awful though, especially as we current only have a/c in the bedroom - we hope to upgrade to a larger and climate controlled place next year. My casual clothes have needed to be super light and I’ve even turned to rompers (!!!)

1-13 are work looks. Number 13 is my favorite dress ever, from Boden c. 2014 or something. I only wear it a couple of times a year because I don’t want to over wash it.

14-20 are casual looks. This time of year I want to wear as little as possible. I think that shorter shorts look better on me proportionally - despite the fact that I’m almost 40 and have plenty of cellulite (I’d still have it if I were skinnier). Number 14 is a romper, which I wore yesterday to a birthday party on the hottest day of the year. It was a casual party focused on a role playing game. The romper is even better than a dress in the heat in some ways because the thigh rub is eliminated. Probably kinda juvenile, but this time of year, I’m too hot too care. I’ll mostly wear these around the house or in a beach situation though.

Number 16 is a picture from the top of the little red lighthouse, which is below the George Washington Bridge. It opens once a year on July 4th. It inspired the children’s book, The Little Red Lighthouse.
