Halloween is somewhat of a national holiday in our house. All four of us dress up in a themed costume and take a bunch of silly pictures. It started the year my first son was born as a way to cheer me up after going back to work from mat leave. It has become an annual tradition that gets crazier every year.
We start scouring the local Goodwill around July to source clothes we can hack into cool costumes. We keep the kids interested by telling them they can trick-or-treat as whatever they want, as long as they commit to ONE DAY of the family costume and try hard to cooperate for the photos. So far, it has worked...
