Diane, I am glad if that description helped a bit. I find it so very helpful when Angie or Inge or other forum members are able to articulate these small details. It has taken me a long time to see these small distinctions for myself, even longer to see them on myself, and longest of all to articulate them -- and I'm still not always able to. Yet when it comes to truly honing a style, I think this is what separates the fashionable from the truly stylish. When you begin to see and feel what works best on your body, and what allows you to shine, you are golden. (Or silver, as the case may be, LOL.)
It still takes a lot of work at times to express it in the clothing. Careful shopping and wardrobe building.
Rachylou -- that puffer coat is made by Lole, the Montreal gear firm. It is a few seasons old now (3?) and still as good as new -- with pretty much constant daily wear for 3 to 4 months a year. They don't have the same coat anymore but it is similar to this one.
