I am at home but inside all day because it is raining. Yippee!
I am going to sit back and watch my beloved garden grow.
It's also only 20*C so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to roadtest my new - and very FIRST pair of - skinnies.
Talk about a late adopter.
But, seriously, it doesn't matter in my milieu if they're not the height of fashion any more.
This is the kind of outfit I like and need for the way I live. I'm comfortable for schlepping about the house, presentable if anyone pops by and OK to slip down the street. There are no grandkids to play with today but if there were these stretchy pants would be ideal.

I am such a ditz. I read MOTG to be mother of the groom and then when I saw skinny jeans, I connected the dots.

I love the skinnies on you and I am always in favor of striped tops. You look great.

Thankyou Dianthus. I love striped tops too, especially bretons, but I have not always been happy with them on me. This one, with its narrow stripes wide apart and a pale background, seems to be the formula for me.

Wow, Lantana, you look wonderful. I love the outfit, your hair, everything. You could also wear this with grey booties. I know what you mean about finding the right stripes. I will watch for this combination. High contrast wide stripes like black and white seem to overwhelm unless they are narrow, but this has lower contrast.

VG, thankyou, i think you might think otherwise if you had been privy to the rear view, as I was. I guess it'd be OK on a one way catwalk.
Joy, I value your comments and yes, I will try grey booties. The ones I have are too dressy for lolling around at home. Re the stripes issue, they can look very "blocky"on me. I stumbled on this tunic while searching for a breton with the low contrast you describe. Still looking.

Sarah, Cate, Stephabee and Firecracker, thankyou for your positive comments. They have been the icing on the cake of a happy day. I have been listening to the rain and immersing myself in the forum, not on the go at all.
That's about to change: DH and a grandson will arrive home soon and it will be on for young and old.
