I took one of my Vince sweater to the cleaners and they said they would de-pill for me. I will report back on how that worked.

Thanks for all the outstanding advice here on sweater storage, cleaning and the shavers, stones and combs! I had no idea all these tools existed. As for using a razor, my sweater would look RATE, and not in a good way, if I used that method.

I really appreciate the specifics and links provided here and will come up with something to keep my sweaters looking as close to brand new as possible.

ETA: Just found this short video on how to remove sweater pillings and besides the ones you mention, she added scissors to the mix, too.
