WIW for WIB

Had a fantastic lunch of tabbouleh, hummus, fattoush salad and Turkish coffee while out today.

WIW is the Joe Fresh boyfriend jeans, new CH loafers, Talbots jean jacket (no errant food spots that I can see) and AT blouse. I was pretty happy with this, but as usual I am open to suggestions for improvement.

I had been wanting a pair of green khakis/pants and ran across these crops(?) at the unfortunately named Dress Barn. I wasn't sure of the length when I saw them on the hanger, but I actually kind of like it. Quickly put them on with Birkenstocks when I got home. I could also wear my quadruplet Splendid sandals from last year that Coco Lion, Jjsloane and Debbie have. Am I delusional that these look ok? I am so not confident in my 'eye'.

I had seen those green pants in the Ted post and found them really great.

Love the green khakis. I always think of that length as 1/2 way between a pant and a short, and perfect for warm summer nights at the beach. (And other days, but summer always has me thinking beach).
I like your shopping outfit. Have you also tried the shirt in a semi or faux tuck? I'm finding it an easy way to freshen up my outfits.

Oh yes, those olive green shorts are awesome!! Love the lunch outfit too. I was loling over your dress barn comment. I cringe when I hear that name--Idk who wants to shop in a barn!

Very nice! I am a fan of Dress Barn these days; they have really stepped up their game and improved their selection. Lots of casual basics, fun tops, and office workwear at an affordable price. Plus their women's section is one of the best options for plus workwear at a reasonable price.

Kkards, I considered a semi tuck with this but decided against it. I tried to kind of 'fake it' by blousing the top a bit at the waist.
Kellygirl, I know - that name! On our way home my friends and I were trying to come up with alternatives. Dress Cabana? Or maybe even spray painting the 'N' for Dress Bar.
rhubarbgirl, they do have some nice things, don't they? We all walked out with something.

But, I can't say enough about how PLEASANT and HELPFUL the staff were at Dress Barn. They were incredible. One of them was checking stock at another store for a dress in a different size for my friend. It indicated that there should be one at the store we were in so she decided it must be in the new shipment of boxes that just came in. And she found it!

Hey I noticed those shorts in your Ted post and still think they look great! Good buy! I've never even been in a Dress Barn! I thought it was a discount store of just dresses (they don't have them in Canada). WHat lovely photos on the waterfront as well. You look great!

Very nice short and I love that half length, it's so flattering. I love the floral top and your BFs as well. I'm glad those sandals are around for another season; they're so pretty. You look fab!
