We had a wonderful double date night last night with some good friends. They had tickets for a local production of Cabaret in a lovely outdoor theater — it had been rained out a few times recently but we lucked out with beautiful weather. We met for dinner and drinks beforehand too.

Pants are a recent purchase from
Nordstrom that get compliments every time I wear them, and they are loose, breezy, and fun to wear. They also resist wrinkling which is nice since summer can easily make me feel a rumpled mess. The Rag & Bone top was a duplicate of the blue denim version I bought first, and I cannot express how wise that duplication has ended up being for me. These tops wear like iron, are cool and comfortable even though substantial enough to be opaque in white, and have visual interest that a basic tee simply does not. The cropped and not fitted/tight shape really works for me. These tops have contributed to more FFBOs than I can count!

And what do I spy on my feet? The white fisherman sandals I thought I gave away at the end of last summer! They were in the bottom of a donation bag that never left the space behind my office sofa, LOL. The white soles were super grimy, and I figured as a last shot I’d try another attempt at cleaning them. I made a paste of Oxyclean and let it sit on the sole material…and then forgot about it for like an hour, LOL. But when I finally realized and chipped the dried paste off and rinsed, the soles looked so much better! Not pristine at the worst spots (the very back at the heel) but definitely more wearable. So now I have two chunky white sandal options, since I bought new Sorels this summer.

Finished with a little crossbody wallet bag, wood bangle, and a scarf tied to the bag that came in handy for when a lovely cool breeze blew in around 10pm.

Note on the theater experience: dude with the hat really should have removed it. I found myself trying to see around it all night long. Sigh.
