WIW for a sick day

My DD woke up with fever and cough so I took the day off to care for her and go to the Dr. It's overcast and gloomy here today so I tried to brighten myself up with my new jeans. I was inspired to wear this when I read Ingunn's post on her Redbook ripoff. I have a weakness for stripes and navy and red are one of my favourite colour combinations. Well high five, Mary, I am a total stripes fan too!-) And this is a lovely and very happy casual outfit. The striped top looks fab with your red jeans (great purchase!), and then you have some fun pattern mixing going on with your scarf (love the colours in the scarf with this outfit too).

I haven't been brave enough to wear a printed scarf with a striped top yet. Clearly I need to get on it! I love this it certainly makes a statement. Red skinnies and a striped top are always chic but I can see your take on this look with the addition of the scarf. I hope DD is doing well and that you stay well during the process.
