There are some stressful times that send me fleeing to the all-black part of my closet for simplicity and ease, but others, apparently, have me reaching for every pattern and mixing with abandon.

My husband is in the hospital right now for cancer pain management. We’ve been here for two nights already and it will be at least one (maybe two or three) more. I’ve been camping on the fold-out chair (see pic 3) and my prime directive is to be comfortable, but also to be a confident advocate when I need to be.

Oh, and also, we’ve had a historic storm here in LA with 7” of rain (that’s half our normal YEARLY total) in the last several days, so, even though it’s warm in the hospital, it's wet and cold and generally miserable anytime I have to step outside.

So, shout out to Suntiger, because my new harem pants from Karmic Chameleon are amazing. Paired with plain black tanks, they make comfortable pajamas, but add a sweatshirt or topper and you have a cute and cheery day outfit. My hair’s in a bun because I’m doing well to brush my teeth this week, much less wash my hair, but a floral headband completes my “grab all the patterns” ensemble.

Pic 4 was yesterday’s version of the same formula. Pic 5 is a very sad cat.
