I'm feeling accessories are going to be a focus for me this year. Possibly not so much layering of clothing but rather adding the interest with statement, but not OTT, accessories. Time will tell but it is definite how I'm feeling:).

So... DH always gifts me spending money for Christmas because he knows I enjoy spending it lol and that I always have one or two things on my Wishlist and this is one of the things I bought.

It's a Giant Safety Pin!! Reclaimed metal, brushed back and powder coated and made in Australia. It does open and could be used on a large open weave garment, or as a key ring, etc. I chose to put it on a leather strap and wear it as a pendant.

Apparently in November the designer (Days of August) was receiving significant orders from the USA for the pins because people in the US had started wearing them as a symbol of solidarity towards minorities following the US election!! Fun fact:).

Anyway, it is summer but our weather is all over the place! Cooler today hence the sleeves and light layers but by 3pm I was in a sleeveless top. It's not safe to put any clothes away for the season cos you just don't know when you might need them.
