Hi Ladies,

I wore this today to church on yet another hot summer's day Down Under

The pattern on the blouse is a very abstract floral which becomes darker towards the hem of the top.

My concern is that the photo adds width to my hips, but IRL and in movement I felt it was ok. The blouse would normally be worn under a jacket but being so warm I broke my own rule by wearing it on it's own, I generally prefer more coverage so I added the scarf to help cover cami straps.

Wearing with my straight leg black pants, wedge heel open toe booties and pearl earrings.

Mochi, thanks so much! I had my haircut during the week and I am moving slowly towards going shorter so I have been taking some pics to see how I like it behind my ears and off my face And using Instagram makes it a lot of fun.

You look lovely. This may be a strange thing to say, but I really admire how you manage to wear black in the summer and still look "fresh" and crisp. I personally feel like it is a tricky colour to pull off in the heat and still look fab.

Nothing unflattering about this look. The scarf draws the eye up as well. I like how you stay true to your love of black. Add just a little white, and it's so modern.

This is SO chic Deborah. You know sometimes rules are made to be broken when the weather dictates comfort level. I love the polka dots with the floral print. This works IMO because the jeans aren't super slim. I don't notice any additional bulk on the hips what I notice most is the dimension and tension between the prints. I absolutely love this. Well done!

You look so fresh and cool in this! The blouse is perfection for a hot day and I like the pattern mix with the florals and dots. I don't see any extra width at the hips. Both the scarf and top look quite "fluid", even in the photos, with beautiful drape. I'm sure they moved beautifully IRL. You are so elegant and chic! Love it!

And I'm glad you're wearing that top sans topper. Very attractive :). Those trousers are very flattering and not widening at all.

Wow, thank you so much lovely ladies.

I only wore this for a couple of hours yesterday so I have repeated it for work today. I did add a jacket but it came off as soon as I walked outside... too hot. February tends to be a more humid month so layers can be a bit unbearable.
