About a month ago I asked for ideas for a red/black/white printed scarf. I got some wonderful ideas, but ended up ordering this McQueen scarf that Anchie suggested.

When I opened the package, I was a little surprised but not in a bad way. There are more shades of red in the scarf print than I expected, and the overall color scheme is a little darker than I thought it would be. But rather than being a bad thing, this color scheme goes with not only the true red of the Veronica Beard blazer, but also looks good with my burgundies and plums. The light neutral color in the print is not a true white but more of a soft off-white but I think it still works nicely.

I cut the tags and wore it today with the VB blazer, red sweater, bootcuts and Converse. Soooo glad I kept this jacket — I love it. I have not embraced red much in my wardrobe for years, but I’m enjoying it again right now.
