I wore the shearling vest Angie NYC style (with a tank underneath) to visit my 90 year old aunt today. She is practically shut in due to her advanced age and ailments. She came to the door dressed in a black velvet jacket, slim black pants, a pearl necklace and a bit of tasteful make up. Her tiny apartment was spotlessly clean and ornately decorated with crystal, ceramic and carved wood pieces. There were real potted roses blooming in her entryway. She had prepared some photos and some things that she wanted to read to my children and I. My daughter is named after her mother who I never knew, so it was important for her to be able to tell us about her mother. I asked her to choose a favorite picture and I thought I would share it with you. She was about 25 years old here in 1945 in Uzbekistan. She is wearing the traditional robes of that area. She always was, and still is, the picture of grace and elegance.
