After Thursday's blah outfit, I knew I wanted to feel good yesterday! It was around 70F/22C when I got dressed, so I wanted a longer sleeve cotton top, and I just adore the pattern and colours and subtly decorated neckline on this one. It's a floral, but more vines than flowers, and makes me think of Sleeping Beauty/Briar . Of course my bumblebee couldn't resist the flowers! Accompanying her was a silver ornate-ish bangle to pick up the print more and my blue pearl ring for the colour (I almost always wear a bracelet and ring, otherwise my hands look strangely bare to me). I paired the top with a full skirt, because full skirts seem more fairy tale like to me, and picked this navy blue one specifically because it fits perfectly with no fussing and to enhance the blue of the top. Then I couldn't resist indulging my match matchy tendencies and picking up the dark pink/red colour of the flowers with my tights. They were lightweight, so I figured I wouldn't overheat. I was still in a whimsical mood, so I finished things off with a silk sash tied in a bow; I know this won't be everyone's cup of tea but I don't mind looking cute in my everyday life (of course if I were in a more formal situation I'd aim for something more sophisticated) and big floppy bows just make me happy.

Surprisingly enough, a front moved in, and by the time I left for my errands it was actually a cold low 40s F/5-6C (vs south Texas it-dropped-below-70/22-so-better-wear-my-winter-stuff-before-it-heats-up-again cool, lol)! My errands were all indoors though, and I knew there'd be central heating involved, so I didn't change or grab my heaviest outerwear. Instead I put on a lightweight but warm puffy jacket that I'm pretty sure is actually from a children's line (the tag says xl) but oh well! (I have no clue why it's sticking out in the profile pic; it doesn't usually do that so I must have caught it up somehow when I was fighting with my camera remote.) And of course I had to wear my new, YLF-approved ankle boots. I threw on grey wool socks since my tights were fairly thin, and I didn't want my feet to freeze. Since I was in fully on matchy matchy mode at this point, I bookended my shoes with my grey hat and my tights with a burgundy scarf. It was the perfect level of warmth without overheating, thank goodness. Later in the day when I went for my walk, I put on my wool-lined knee high boots and long navy blue wool coat for more insulation, but I thought 2 outerwear pics in one post was excessive.

I felt wonderful in this outfit: completely me, completely comfortable, and as if I could conquer the world or at least twirl through it. My boots were super comfy for the 4 hours of errands; I'm always terrified the first time I wear shoes out of the house in case they turn out to have problems when it's too late to return them, so that was just icing on the cake. With that said, all comments and suggestions more than welcome! My feelings won't be hurt if you think this was an overload of twee-ness or something.
