This is a beautiful outfit Una. The addition of the vest makes it totally you. It's a lovely mix of trend, ladylike and edge. I am really glad you posted this:) I tried on a similar dress yesterday (more of an abstract floral in black and white) and imagined wearing it in a very similar manner. Didn't buy it, but maybe now seeing how it's done I will.
Chiming in to say how great this looks, and your reasoning makes so much sense: I am totally copying this, I can wear my sleeveless tuxedo=style blazer dress over my Joe Fresh striped sweater dress that's too clingy to suit apple me without compression or topper, and my black patent men's oxford's (saying it here so I can't chicken out)
