Love the watermelon bag as a punch to your drapey and dreamy pieces. I really like this style direction for you - so elegant!

Well hello there lovely lady! This is fabulous. You look soooo good in that top. With the heels and blazer it looks great for work; if you popped off the blazer and swapped to flats you'd have a super fab weekend kickin' it look. So fun. I don't mind the pant length with the heels, though I'd also be curious to see another roll up for comparison. With flats, it'd definitely need one more up or down. That purse is a serious find, now that is how to leave no retail stone unturned.

Shannon, WOW! The outfit is so simple but the details! It's amazing! First off, the top: what catches my attention is the hemline. I like how it curves upwards on one side! Such an interesting take on the basic tunic! I've tried EF tunics on at The Bay and they feel like heaven. Now, seeing this on you, you are TOTALLY inspiring me to look into this brand.

The pants also fit so well. Wow! From what I remember, you have apple tendencies too, right? Do the pants create a muffin top? Does the waistband dig?

The jacket is divine and the proportions are great. Love the pop of watermelon too!

So inspiring, Shannon! I'm loving where this new style shift is taking you!

Astrid - I love that you mention I look comfortable in my own skin. That's EXACTLY what I want. Thank you

Deborah - it's actually in huge part because of your inspiring style that I began to think about and explore this drapey kind of look. So I thank you for that. And I do think you're quite right about how our eyes become accustomed to certain pant lengths and fits that we sometimes forget there are other options.

Lyn - I'm finding it a lot of fun to explore this new style.

Aida - I'm starting to look for more pieces that can do double duty for work and casual. It maximizes my budget and keeps my physical closet under control. I'm picturing the tank and pants with my Birks for casual wear. I think I would definitely need to roll the pants for flats.

Katie - oh I don't just have apple tendencies. That's my primary body shape. And these pants are so fab for my mid section. The waistband hits me in just the right spot and no muffin top at all. Very, very comfy.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I appreciate that you are all so supportive of me trying this new style direction. I'm having a blast!

@Shannon: that's amazing! I'll need to give EF pants a try then! I'm not in the market for black pants but at least there's a brand I can try out!

Holy hannah batman, this is an 11 out of 10! So chic with interesting shapes. I love it, especially the tank! I agree that you own it.

Gorgeous! And sounds so comfy - great buys. What are those lovely shoes, btw?
