Rita, I'm having a hard time with the black jacket too - but the boots and the Missoni with the skirt are perfect. I can't open the second picture (it's taking too long) so I'll look again at the office.

Rita is was a real pleasure to meet you in NYC. And I adore both your NYC items when you purchased them and I especially like how both are styled here too. You had a very successful shopping day in NYC, and it was a lot of fun to spend time with you!

I missed this the first time around, I guess. I really love the new pieces from NYC! I tend to agree about the taupe boots needing some sort of similar color somewhere else in the outfit (not necessarily taupe, but something else that is cool and light-colored), especially given your dark hair, but I am probably just being a fussbudget :). Love the new obi belt!

Hi Rita just thought I would pop back to say that I don't think the black jacket looks bad :). The overall outfit is very fab, it's not so much bookending as just how it appears to my eye and my perception of balance. The outfit is light and colorful and then to my eye the black jacket kinds of weighs it down. This might be a rubbish idea, but even if you were to turn the cuffs of the shirt back over the cuffs of the jacket, that could jibd of "blend" the jacket. Of course I am no expert

@Deborah, that's actually how I wore the outfit, with the cuffs turned down and no white showing. I will try another variation with some tweaks next week.
