Sterling's post this morning was timely for me -- I just broke out one of my cropped jeans yesterday after a long while of not wearing them. These are from BR from about a year or so ago.
As I mentioned in Sterling's post, I'm really only comfortable in these crop styles when I keep everything tonal and "close the gap" with tall booties or high-shafted heeled sandals when the weather is warmer. I also seem to like wearing them best with one of my longer jackets. So this outfit makes me feel good even though I don't really see a lot of long jacket-cropped pants styling elsewhere.
This jacket consistently gets so many compliments every time I wear it. What a great purchase it turned out to be. Same goes for these Sorel booties! I've worn them a ton this winter even though we've had zero snow or ice.
The necklace was my mom's and I've always loved it. I have no idea what the material is -- it looks copper-toned but has an iridescent finish, almost like the surface of a CD or something. It dates back at least 40 years.
The leather and pearl ring was a gift from hubs -- we got it in New Orleans at the outdoor art market off Frenchmen St.
Bonus furbaby pics -- Tippi and Sophie with their new favorite toys. We had to wait for the big dogs to go back to Texas to break these out because Sunny and Woody would chew these up in 2.5 seconds!
